Data About Lawyers Who Work at Law Firms
As part of its proprietary database, De Novo collects and stores in a searchable database publicly available personal data about attorneys that work at law firms. De Novo does not collect any personal data directly from the attorneys. The information is collected primarily from the attorney’s profile as it appears on the attorney’s law firm website. Where available, De Novo also supplements attorneys’ profiles by collecting data from other publicly available sources, such as state bar websites and LinkedIn. The publicly available personal data in De Novo’s attorney database includes name, phone number, gender, diversity information, e-mail address, office location, education and employment information.
As part of its CRM, De Novo collects and data and information entered by users, including Notes, contact information (personal email addresses and phone numbers), call history, and in some cases, emails. De Novo does not share this information with anyone but may use the data in the aggregate to process it for analytics purposes.

We process other data, including your subscription history, payment details, credit card number and related information, bank name, and bank account number to manage payment for the subscription. We may also process other data, including any data you enter on our website, in order to improve our algorithms and analytics. We may also use your name and email address to send to you marketing and sales information on our products that you or your Company may be interested in and will obtain your consent in advance of doing so where applicable Data Protection Law requires it. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications at the time you receive the marketing communication.
We may provide our Customers additional details about the purposes of data processing in connection with their subscriptions or other contracts either in our terms of use, or through email, or through any other manner. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data of Lawyers In Our Database
We process the publicly available personal data of lawyers who work at law firms as described in this Privacy Policy based on our legitimate interests in (1) offering a comprehensive database of attorneys to our Customers, (2) building and processing learning algorithms and leveraging artificial intelligence to determine which lawyers would be the best fit (i.e., have the highest likelihood of success) for a position within a law firm, group within a law firm, or working for specific lawyers, and (3) analyzing various statistics and trends in the market. Customers enter into contracts with us to receive a compilation of publicly available information on attorneys so they can identify attorney candidates for job opportunities. We undertake the collection, categorization, and analysis of publicly available personal data of lawyers so that the data is easily searchable and usable by Customers, to enable them to easily and efficiently fill job positions, and and so that De Novo can process and analyze this data to determine which lawyers would be the best fit for a given position. Customers are required to use the publicly available personal data only for lawful purposes and and cannot sell the data with any third party for any reason.
Attorneys who are located in the EU whose personal data is processed by us may have the right to object to processing of their personal data by submitting a request to support@denovoapp.com. We will consider and respond to the request in accordance with applicable law, if any.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data of Customers
We process personal data of Customers for the legitimate interests of addressing our contractual obligations with them and in improving the overall business offerings of De Novo. Our processing of personal data allows us to provide, receive, and analyze information and services pursuant to agreements, to carry out requests, and to improve the offerings of De Novo.
All Customers must provide all personal data that is required for De Novo to accept and carry out its contractual obligations and fulfill its business obligations.
